Fredericksburg, Texas Oktoberfest Record Set

Just a few of the 385 kegs sold at Fredericksburg's Oktoberfest over 10/5-7. Last year's record was 325. These kegs belong to Glazer's Distribution, who supplied the German beer tent.

That's a record that's going to be hard to beat!

I saw this headline and thought of the Fredericksburg, Virginia Oktoberfest held a couple weeks ago at the Blue and Gray Brewery. It too was a sell out. I arrived a few hours into it, most food was sold out and the souvenir steins were sold out. I got there too late to have my growler filled with B&G's Oktoberfest beer and that too was sold out by time I returned to the brewery during the week. Guess these fall beer fests are popular!

One of these days, I will have to visit my cousin Steve in the fall and hit that oktoberfest. I thought B&G's Fred Red was a darn nice beer!
