CYBI Brown Shugga

Recently, Lagunitas Brewing Company announced it would not brew their regular fall beer, Brown Shugga because they didn't have the capacity. Since I would have to go without this year, I thought I would brew the Can You Brew It? Brown Shugga clone recipe done by the fine folks over at The Brewing Network.

It is a pretty big beer, so I will need a big starter. Four liters big. So first I will brew Donn's Famous Horse Cram It In, and repitch the yeast in the Brown Shugga, two weeks later.

hey there. your measured OG and FG are kind of strange. also your brewing date is in the future, but that might be intentional.

One more thing, the IBU for brown shugga is listed at 51, perhaps you need a bit more bittering hops? what do you think?

Blaine,
Because the brewing date is in the future, there is no actual OG and FG so BeerSmith just put some numbers there.

I got the recipe from Can You Brew It and it's been in a note book since I listened to the show. I know i had to make some hop substitutions and that may be what the foul up is.
