Prickly Pear Beer
I wanted to reuse the yeast from the Prickly Pear beer in Brown Shugga. So, while I was mashing the CYBI Brown Shugga Clone, I kegged the prickly pear beer. The prickly pear darkened the beer a tad, but didn't color it much, and it didn't have much of the canteloupe/watermelon taste of the fruit, so I thought adding a couple of ounces of Citra would bring it out. It didn't. All I get is Citra. But that's not a bad thing! I'd forgotten how much I like Citra.
